Optimist Clubs Are ...

Every Optimist Club is formed by people who wanted to reach out to help youth and community. People like you and me. Members of an Optimist Club usually live or work in the community. Members have joined together to serve others and promote Optimismas a way of life.

Each club is chartered as a club of Optimist International.

Each Optimist Club operates autonomously. This means they operate independently of each other. They choose their own activities, elect their own officers, and raise their own funds. A Club's sevices activities are based on the needs of the community. What a Club can do is limited only by imagination and resources of the Members.

Form a Club in Your Community

Optimist Zones Are ...

Zones are a collection of clubs within the same geographic region, usually within a couple hours drive of each other. Zones are serviced by a Lieutenant Governor, selected by the members of the clubs within their Zone. The Lieutenant Governor represents the District Governor and Optimist International President, providing assistance and advice to club presidents. The role of the Lieutenant Governor is to ensure that clubs have the resources they need to remain a vibrant service club in their community.

            Zone 1 with clubs in Great Falls, Havre, Helena, and Missoula.
            Zone 2 with clubs in Bozeman, MT and Cody, WY.
            Zone 3 with clubs in Blackfalds, Penhold, Sylvan Lake, and Red Deer.
            Zone 4 with clubs in Billings, Miles City, and Roundup.
            Zone 5 with clubs in Edmonton, Leduc, and St. Albert.

            Zone 6 with clubs in Calgary, High River, Lethbridge, and Medicine Hat.
            Zone 7 with clubs in Lloydminster, Prince Albert, and Saskatoon.
            Zone 8 with clubs in Regina, Wilcox, Glasgow, Plentywood and Wolf Point.
            Zone 9 with clubs in Davidson, Duval, Govan and Moose Jaw.
