Ongoing Website Work for 2009 - 10
This page contains a list of major website projects that are in-progress, scheduled, completed, and cancelled.
Projects In-Progress
- Verify Links to all OI Resources (URGENT) - OI recently revised their entire website and links to all resources changed. Need to reset all resource links on all zone webiste pages to include the correct links.
- Prepare to Launch - prepare the site for the initial launch:
- Transfer the amsnwoptimist.org domain from gate.com to bravenet.com.
- Retire the existing website and save it to archive.amsnwoptimist.org.
- create staging.amsnwoptimist.org and copy the existing website files to it for approval by the District Governor.
Projects Scheduled
- Juvenile Curling - add to "Youth Programs" list and create dedicated page for it. Add links to program resources page. Write an article to introduce it.
- Pilot Club - add to "Build a Pilot Club" page and add it as part of the Zone 5 Clubs section. Also provide links to it as part of NCB pages. Contact OI and discuss with rep ... use research to write an article about Pilot Clubs.
- Add Google Sitemap - create a Google sitemap file to the site and register with the Google search engines.
- Add Google Search - add Google search to the site home page.
- Add Zone Contact Forms - add a club "Contact Us" form on each club's webpage. Each form would send an email to the originator and to the club president.
- Register Site - register the site with AMS&NW, OI Canada and OI websites so that it will get listed.
- Register with DMOZ - register the website with the DMOZ directory.
