Build a New JOOI Club
Do the Kids in Your Community Need More Optimism?
Ask yourself these three important questions:
- Does our community have a youth problem, a lack of facilities for youth, a lack of organized youth activities, or a lack of talented leadership?
- Do you want to give the kids the opportunity to do something for their community?
- Are there other interested parents and youth who want to get involved?
If you answered Y E S, then forming an "Junior Optimist" or "Octagon" Club in your community may provide the means to improving the situation ... to making your community more active for youth and safer for everyone.

How can you get started?
If your neighborhood is a victim of uncontrolled youth rowdiness and vandalism ... if the kids in your local subdivision are bored, lack anything interesting to do, or want to do something that will make a difference ... please take the time to learn about opening a JOOI club.
Simple ... contact our Governor, or the Lieutenant Governor or Club President of an Optimist Club nearest to you, or, just filll out our online contact form.
We will arrange to have our District JOOI Chair and the President of the closest Optimist Club contact you so we can engage in a discussion about your community needs and determine if an new JOOI club would be a good fit.
We can meet with you and a couple of interested youth and their parents from you neighborhood and explain the benefits and process needed to start a new JOOI club for your youth.
