District Conference & Convention Chair
District meetings are not just about business ... they offer excellent training workshops and opportunities for members to network with fellow members at a wide variety of fellowship activities.
Organized as 'bring the family' events, each District meeting offers a 'Companions Programs' for non-member spouses and a 'Kids Program' for the youngsters.
As part of the District Services Team, my role is to plan, promote and run the District Convention, and assist the District Conference Chairs do the same. In particular:
- Plan and supervise all arrangements, programs, budgets, entertainment, promotion, financing and fees for the annual convention.
- Prepare and publish registration forms and a convention program.
- Make recommendations to the District Board of Directors on the selection of future Conference and Convention sites and dates.
- Promote attendance to leaders and members on conferences and convention utilizing the District Bulletin, District Web-site, email or other methods.
We will be offering a wide variety of training workshops about the various club resources and youth programs at our Quarterly District Conferences and Annual Convention. Check our District Meetings page for details on the workshops scheduled for the next meeting.
